The Grand Triad of Kung Fu: 8-Day Shaolin, Wudang & Emei Pilgrimage

Journey across China’s sacred peaks to experience the three pillars of traditional martial arts: the explosive Zen power of Shaolin, the flowing internal harmony of Wudang, and the agile, balanced spirit of Emei. Connected seamlessly by high-speed rail, this curated itinerary blends historic temple exploration, live master demonstrations, and beginner-friendly training sessions.

Daily Breakdown

  • Day 1 (Arrival & Temple Immersion): Arrive in Dengfeng. Tour the central halls of the ancient Shaolin Temple and dine on monastic Buddhist vegetarian fare. In the afternoon, attend an authentic wushu exhibition featuring staff routines, animal forms, and breaking techniques, followed by an evening walk through the historic Pagoda Forest.
  • Day 2 (Sacred Cliffs & Basic Stances): Hike the suspended walkways of the Sanhuangzhai Trail to witness Songshan’s dramatic geology. Continue to Chuzu Monastery and climb to Damo Cave, where Bodhidharma meditated for nine years. Conclude the day with a master-led introductory Shaolin basics workshop focusing on horse stances, core strikes, and breathwork.
